Frequently Asked Questions

The objective of the Delta Zones site is to provide the essential infrastructure for the collection and global dissemination of information related to river delta regions around the world.

If your organization / project / event is:
   a) located in one or more river delta regions; AND
   b) focusing on one or more themes that are particularly relevant for delta regions (e.g. subsidence, sea level rise);
then it IS relevant for the Delta Zones site – please profile it so that it can be shared with the international delta community!

Delta Zones was created by and is owned by two organizations: Delta Alliance and World Estuary Alliance.

Delta Alliance is an international network that provides a framework for international cooperation to support more effective and efficient responses to increasing pressures in river deltas worldwide. Delta Alliance is funded by the Knowledge for Climate research program of The Netherlands.

World Estuary Alliance is a program of WWF that focuses on knowledge exchange and information sharing, on the value of healthy estuaries, and maximizing the potential and benefits of ‘natural systems’ in sustainable estuary development.
